Secret Chiefs 3 is the project of composer, guitarist and multi-instrumentalist Trey Spruance. Less a traditional band and more a collective of instrumentalists assembled into various ensembles by Spruance, Joe first first joined the roster in 2017 when Secret Chiefs 3 toured North America with Dead Cross. In 2024, Secret Chiefs supported The Dillinger Escape Plan at their reunion show in Chicago. In 2025, Secret Chiefs headlined day 2 of the Subterranean Dissonance Festival in Philadelphia.
